Machine Learning Mentor/specialist at Polygence

Michael Yang has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and data analysis. Michael is currently working as a Software Engineer at GEI Consultants, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Mentor at Polygence starting from October 2021. From October 2021 to March 2023, they also worked as a Software Engineer at the University of California, Davis.

Michael has also gained experience in data engineering and machine learning during their brief stint at Poshmark as a Data Engineer/Machine Learning from June 2022 to August 2022. Moreover, they have worked as a Computer Science Instructor at iD Tech Camps from April 2021 to January 2022, where they taught computer science to students.

Michael Yang received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Financial Engineering from Shandong University of Finance and Economics in 2020. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, which they completed in 2020 as well. Currently, Michael is enrolled in the University of California, Davis, where they are expected to earn their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science by 2023. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in subjects such as Java programming, cloud services, web development, responsive design, and software engineering from institutions like LinkedIn, Vanderbilt University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Michigan, University of London, Morgan Stanley, and Coursera Course Certificates.
