David Z.

David Z. has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. David is currently the Co-founder and CTO at Polygon Labs since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Polygon ID Project Lead at Polygon Labs from January 2022 to April 2023. David also served as the Polygon zkEVM Project Lead at Polygon Hermez from June 2020 to April 2023. Before that, they were a Project Lead at iden3 from June 2018 to April 2023. Additionally, they co-founded Ausum Cloud in June 2016 and was actively involved until December 2018. David Z. also held significant positions at Nexica I Critical Cloud & Hosting, where they worked as the CTO - Technology and Service Development Director from June 2015 to May 2016, and as the CTO & COO from May 2011 to May 2015. Earlier in their career, they were the Operations Manager at REALTECH AG from April 2008 to May 2011. David began their career as an IT Manager at Jazztel, where they were responsible for Service Delivery, Service Support, ICT Management, and Security Management processes from an unspecified date to April 2008.

David Z. obtained an Executive MBA from IESE Business School in the years 2009 to 2011. David also received a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 1992 and 1997. In addition, they pursued further studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Big Data in 2014 and Cybersecurity in 2015. David Z. also obtained additional certifications from edX in the areas of Cybersecurity and Tackling the Challenges of Big Data. Furthermore, they completed a program in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP/PNL) at Institut Gestalt in 2013-2014.
