Duncan Maskell

Professor Duncan Maskell currently serves as Vice Chancellor at the University of Melbourne since October 2018. Prior to this role, Professor Maskell spent over two decades at the University of Cambridge, where positions held included Senior Pro-Vice Chancellor (Planning and Resources), Marks and Spencer Professor of Farm Animal Health, Food Science and Food Safety, Head of the School of the Biological Sciences, and Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Imperial College of Science Technology & Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry and at the University of Oxford within the Institute for Molecular Medicine. Professor Maskell earned both Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Cambridge.
