Mike Wagaman is the current Vice President of Research & Development at Polysciences, Inc. Mike has over twenty years of experience in the field of chemistry, including stints as a group leader and staff scientist. Mike has also interned at Sandia National Laboratories on two occasions.
Mike Wagaman began their career in 1997 as a staff scientist at Honeywell. Mike then spent four years as a group leader at Frontier Scientific, Inc., where they managed global chemistry, analytical, and ADME groups. Mike also designed fragment, lead-like, and drug-like compound libraries, and developed academic and industrial collaborations.
In 2004, Mike Wagaman became the Senior Director of Chemistry/Global Chemistry at Frontier Scientific, Inc., a position they held until 2011. In this role, they were responsible for managing global chemistry groups, designing software for searching and sorting compound libraries, and developing collaborations with academic and industrial partners.
Mike Wagaman has been with Polysciences, Inc. since 2011 and currently serves as the Vice President of Research & Development. In this role, they lead a team of scientists in the development of new products and technologies.
Mike Wagaman attended the University of Delaware for their undergraduate degree, where they majored in chemistry and graduated with distinction. Mike then went on to attend Caltech for their PhD, where they studied under Robert H. Grubbs, who was a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry in 2005.
