Michael Frech has held various roles in the field of test and measurement instruments. From 1990 to 1995, they worked as a Project Manager at the Transfer Center Industrial Measurement Technology. Michael then joined Polytec GmbH as a Sales Engineer, responsible for sales and product management in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In 1998, Michael became the Key Account Manager at LMS Deutschland GmbH, where they developed sales strategies for key automotive accounts. Michael later became the General Manager of the company, overseeing the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland regions. In 2001, Michael joined Polytec GmbH again, this time as the Vice President, responsible for global sales, marketing, and product strategy. In 2005, they became the President of Polytec, Inc., where they implemented a customer-oriented sales and marketing approach for the North American business. In 2008, Michael became the President of Polytec LLC, leading the development, manufacturing, and marketing of test and measurement instruments for various industries until 2015.
Michael Frech attended Gewerbliche Schule Schwäbisch Hall from 1981 to 1986, where they earned their Abitur with a focus on Technisches Gymnasium. From 1986 to 1991, they studied at Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik, graduating with a degree in Diplom-Physik Ing. with a specialization in Physics. In 2001, Frech briefly attended St. Gallen Business School, completing a General Management program in Business Administration and Management.
