POMA Systems was formed in June 1985 as a specialist production engineering company under the name POMA Sondermaschinen- und Vorrichtungsbau GmbH. Production at that time was initially restricted to the construction of prototypes and the manufacture of individual parts and short product runs.

With its special purpose engineering work the company quickly developed into a systems supplier for automation. Painting applications soon crystallised as one of the company’s particular specialities. Today, POMA Systems is an expert partner to the automotive and supplier industry in all matters of painting automation.

Today, POMA Systems employs staff in construction and engineering, production, customer support and administration. All highly proficient in their individual areas, be that mechanical engineering, automation, painting automation, paint application and process engineering, electrical engineering or IT. POMA Systems has long since developed into a one-stop shop for custom equipment construction, manufacturing technology and engineering.
