About us
POMunity is a student organization dedicated to Production and Operations Management (POM) and Industrial Engineering. We currently operate as a guest member of ESTIEM, working toward becoming the official local group for this European network.

What is POM to us?
For us, POM isn’t just a lecture — it’s the backbone of how things are made. We explore:
Production Strategy: How product design dictates manufacturing choices. Supply Chain Design: Building the literal paths that connect ideas to customers. Value Creation: Identifying exactly where and how value is added in a process. Operational Excellence: Using smart, "small" ideas like 5S, optimized shopfloor layouts, and custom solutions to simplify work for employees while eliminating errors.

What we offer
We bridge the gap between lecture slides and real-world application in industry:
Factory Tours and Site Visits: We don’t just visit companies; we walk through production lines with engineers to see POM theories in action. Social Events: Building a community isn't just about business. We host events to connect students, discuss internships, and talk about everything in between. Expert Insights: We are expanding our portfolio to include guest lectures and company presentations, bringing industry leaders directly to you.
