Ben Chan

Ben Chan is currently an advisor at Pontoro. Ben was previously the Chief Technology Officer at BitGo, Inc. from November 2014 to September 2020. While at BitGo, they led a team of 50+ engineers and was responsible for the buildout of the industry-leading blockchain platform that processed 15% of global bitcoin transactions daily. Ben also implemented the development of a financial services stack that included tamper proof ledger and the ability to process settlements, trades, and lending business in a compliant fashion. In addition to their work at BitGo, they have also spoken at various conferences on topics ranging from cryptocurrency to blockchain platforms and security. Some of their previous engagements include Bloomberg Television, MIT Bitcoin Conference, SF Blockchain Week, Stanford Blockchain Workshop, and Google.

Ben Chan has a degree in computer science from UNSW. Ben has a strong background in networking and quality of service.
