Popper Power builds a platform that transforms streetlight poles into AI-managed, instantly deployable, decentralized virtual power plant hubs with integrated energy storage. These distributed microgrids provide peak load shaving and public curbside fast charging for electric and autonomous vehicles, supported by bidirectional power flow (V2X) and dynamic tariffs.

The platform is designed for public lighting operators that already manage streetlight assets, as well as parking operators. By activating infrastructure that is already deployed but largely underutilized, operators generate new revenue streams through EV charging and grid services, including selling electricity back to the grid. Popper Power’s AI-driven system continuously optimizes energy flows, pricing, and asset performance across the network.

For society, Popper Power expands access to affordable public charging for people who lack private garages or dedicated parking and depend on curbside parking. For cities, it enables rapid deployment of charging infrastructure in dense urban environments without street excavation, construction disruption, or prolonged permitting cycles. For utilities, the platform helps stabilize local grids at a time when transportation electrification is pushing networks beyond their original design limits. Distributed storage at each hub, combined with EV batteries, AI-controlled bidirectional power flow, and smart tariffs, supports reliable and resilient energy supply.

As autonomous transportation scales, cities will require fast, flexible, and fully automated charging infrastructure deployed street by street. Popper Power enables each streetlight pole to operate as a human-free energy node, forming a new layer of urban energy infrastructure built for continuous, high-density demand.
