Senior Vice President & Division Manager - Credit Card Division at Popular

Solimar Cedeno has a diverse and extensive work experience. Solimar started their career as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they joined Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where they held various roles. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Manager in Acquisitions & Corporate Investment. Then, they served as the Manager of Corporate Strategic Planning from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, Solimar Cedeno was the Vice President and Manager of Corporate Banking, responsible for growing cash management, banking services, and payment solutions within a public sector corporate portfolio. From 2015 to 2021, they held the position of Vice President and Manager of the Retail Lending Division, overseeing consumer lending products and leading negotiations with key partners. Currently, they are a Senior Vice President and Division Manager of the Credit Card Division, responsible for driving growth and profitability for Banco Popular's credit card business in Puerto Rico and the US markets.

Solimar Cedeno earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad de Puerto Rico between 1995 and 2000. Later, Solimar attended the Banco Popular Leadership Academy and obtained an Executive Leadership Distinction.
