Sydney Stephenson has a diverse work experience that spans from 2012 to the present. In 2012, they were an Intern in the Natural Resources Department at the City of San Luis Obispo. Sydney then worked as an Intern at In Balance Green Consulting in 2013. In 2015, they worked as an Intern at Fehr & Peers on the Bay Area Bike Share Expansion Project, as well as an Assistant Planner at the City of Berkeley, where they researched and analyzed policy issues, developed staff reports and Zoning Ordinance language, and clerked and presented at meetings. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at JUMP Bikes as a Program Manager, Market Development, where they managed and developed content for JUMP responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement processes, and tracked and analyzed current shared micromobility trends. Since 2020, they have worked at Veo as a Strategy and Partnerships Manager and Proposal Manager, and they are currently a Strategic Partnerships and Proposal Manager at Populus.

Sydney Stephenson holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environmental Analysis: Sustainability and the Built Environment from Claremont McKenna College. Sydney also completed a CIEE Summer Study Abroad program in Groningen, Netherlands and Palma, Mallorca that focused on Environmental Issues. In 2021, Sydney obtained certifications in Excel Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365) and SQL for Non-Programmers from LinkedIn.
