Shawn Knotts CPP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shawn recently joined Porex as a Global Commodity Manager in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at AGCO Corporation, where their roles included Senior Buyer, Engineering Change Specialist, GSIFIXT, and Design Engineer-Tower Dryers. In these positions, they were responsible for tasks such as SAP data administration, customer support management, design modifications, and OSHA compliance. Before AGCO, Shawn worked as a Technical Designer at GSI Group and as a Patrol Officer at Decatur Police Department. Shawn also gained experience as a Computer Numerical Control Machinist at Caterpillar Inc. and as the Director of CAD Operations at R.S. Consultants, Inc., where they specialized in producing HVAC design layouts. Additionally, they served as a Coach at Team Beachbody Independent Business Coach, where they provided support to clients in achieving their health and fitness goals.

Shawn Knotts CPP has a diverse education history. In 1989 to 1990, they attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they pursued architecture but did not receive a degree. From 1991 to 1996, they attended Richland Community College and obtained an AAS-Associates in Applied Sciences in Industrial Drafting. In 2004, Shawn briefly attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and received a BLE Certificate in Law Enforcement. Additionally, in May 2023, they obtained the Certified Purchasing Professional certification from the American Purchasing Society.
