Simon Mclaughlin has worked in the electrical industry since 2004. Simon began their career as an Electrician at Allied Projects Ltd. In 2008, they moved to Johnson Controls where they held the roles of Maintenance Electrician and Electrical Foreman. In 2014, they joined BGIS as an Electrical Foreman. Since 2017, they have been employed at Portable Electric, where they have held the roles of Senior Power System Engineer, Project Manager, and Lead Electrician.
Simon Mclaughlin attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2003 to 2007, studying to become an Electrician.
