Emily MacLoud is an experienced Senior Design Strategist at Portable, where the focus is on leveraging design and technology to drive social change, particularly in improving access to justice since 2012. Previously, Emily held the position of Mid-level Design Strategist at RMIT University and served various roles at the Law Centres Network, including Digital Development Lead and User Researcher, contributing to enhancing the experiences of Law Centre staff and clients. Additional roles include Product Manager at JUST: Access Ltd, Associate at Etic Lab, User Researcher for the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales, and UX Designer at CAST Centre for the Acceleration of Social Technology. Emily also has a strong background in legal support, having worked as Head of Casework and Caseworker at Advocate, and as a Legal Administrator with LawWorks. Emily holds a Master of Design Futures from RMIT University, along with degrees in Legal Advice Leadership Development and a combined Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Laws from Macquarie University.
