Alain Simons is an experienced professional in data analytics and management with a strong background in leading teams and strategic planning. Since June 2017, Alain has served as Product Owner for Data Analytics at Portbase, overseeing a team of BI/Data warehouse specialists and responsible for the central Analytics platform based on Databricks in the AWS cloud. Additionally, Alain is the founder and chairman of Stichting Katalysator, dedicated to promoting sustainable local entrepreneurship in developing countries. Previous experience includes IT Manager for Medux, Project Manager at Harting-Bank, and various managerial roles at Welzorg, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in operational management, project coordination, and functional application management.
