Alain Simons is an experienced professional in data analytics and management with a strong background in leading teams and strategic planning. Since June 2017, Alain has served as Product Owner for Data Analytics at Portbase, overseeing a team of BI/Data warehouse specialists and responsible for the central Analytics platform based on Databricks in the AWS cloud. Alain has held various roles in the field of data and BI, including Product Manager and Business Manager, guiding teams and ensuring the successful realization of products. Additionally, Alain is the founder and chairman of Stichting Katalysator, dedicated to promoting sustainable local entrepreneurship in developing countries. Previous experience includes IT Manager for Medux, Project Manager at Harting-Bank, and various managerial roles at Welzorg, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in operational management, project coordination, and functional application management. Alain's education includes certifications in DevOps Fundamentals and Professional Scrum Product Owner, along with degrees in Bewegingstechnologie and Middle Management.
