Tijmen V.

Tijmen V. has a diverse work experience across various industries. Most recently, they worked at Portbase as a Business Analytics Translator, facilitating data sharing and information exchange in the logistics chains of the Dutch ports. Prior to that, Tijmen founded StatWave, working as a freelance data scientist. They also founded Panta Rackets, a company in the sports industry. Tijmen has also worked as a Graduate Researcher at Ocean Shipping Consultants and as a Request For Information Advisor at De Voogt Naval Architects. In addition, they have experience as a Regional Manager and Courier at Holland Logistics Couriers, and as a Global Partnership Manager at AIESEC The Netherlands. Earlier in their career, Tijmen worked as an Engineering Intern at Trans Middle East General Contracting.

Tijmen V. pursued their education chronologically starting from their pre-university education at Northgo College from 2004 to 2010. Following that, they attended Delft University of Technology from 2010 to 2015 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Scheepsbouwkunde / Maritieme techniek (Naval architecture / Maritime engineering). Tijmen then continued their studies at Instituto Superior Técnico from 2016 to 2017 and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Scheepsbouwkunde / Maritieme techniek (Naval architecture / Maritime engineering).

In the same year, Tijmen enrolled at Delft University of Technology to pursue a Master's degree in Marine Technology - Shipping Management, which they completed in 2019. Additionally, Tijmen obtained certification in Advanced Analytics Translation from GoDataDriven | Part of Xebia in October 2022, and they completed the IBM Data Science Specialization from Coursera in August 2021.
