Urvesh Devani

Urvesh Devani has 8 years of professional work experience. Urvesh began in 2012 as a Teaching Assistant at VJTI. In 2014, they moved to Cisco as a Software Engineer II. In 2017, they worked as a Community Ambassador at City AI. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Noodle.ai in three roles: Associate Data Scientist, Data Scientist, and Senior Data Scientist. In 2020, they worked as a Mentor at Springboard, and in 2022 they worked as a Data Science Fellow at On Deck. Most recently, from 2018 to present, they have been the Head of Data Science at Portcast, where they have been responsible for building a SaaS product for cargo flows and Demand Forecasting (Air and Sea). Urvesh has also been involved in interpretable machine learning, time series forecasting at scale, supervised and unsupervised learning, and cloud services (AWS and Google Cloud).

Urvesh Devani holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Software Engineering from the University of Mumbai, which they earned from 2012 to 2014. Urvesh also holds a B.E. in C.S. from Gujarat Technological University, which they earned from 2008 to 2012.
