Alek Strygin began their career in 2002 as a Consultant at Charles River Associates. In 2008, they became an Attorney at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. In 2012, they Co-Founded and became COO of GetGoing, Inc., where they built a 30+ person product & engineering team in Silicon Valley and Ukraine and developed & launched an award-winning consumer travel site. In 2013, they Co-Founded and became Managing Partner of Curiosity Partners. In 2016, they became Senior Vice President of Product Management at BCD Travel. In 2018, they Co-Founded, became COO, and Head of Product at Portside, where they are currently building a modern operating system for business and government aviation, and the SaaS platform currently supports 2000+ business jets in over 30 countries.
Alek Strygin began their educational journey in 1997 when they attended Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to study Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. In 1999, they earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Alek then went on to complete a J.D. in Law at USC Gould School of Law in 2008.
