Kaj de Groot is the Director of Automation Projects at Portwise, where they lead strategic planning and execution of automation initiatives to optimize port operations. With a strong background in business development and project management, Kaj is recognized as a container terminal automation expert and holds a PMP PMI certification. They previously served as a Senior Project Manager at TBA Group, managing complex software integration projects, and have experience in both greenfield and brownfield container terminal developments. Kaj also founded Wax On Detailing Products, rapidly growing it into one of the leading car detailing webshops in the Netherlands. They graduated with a Master of Science in Transport Engineering and Logistics from Technische Universiteit Delft.
