Darlene Brookes has extensive experience in diverse roles within the mental health and performing arts sectors. Since October 2010, Darlene has worked with psychiatric nursing students at institutions such as Douglas College, VCC, and UBC, focusing on role play scenarios involving mental illness. Concurrently, since October 2007, Darlene serves as a Day Support Worker at posAbilitiesCA. In addition to these positions, Darlene has been self-employed since March 1993, working as a Clown and Performing Artist, specializing in Pachinko mask work.
