Ethan Liu

Ethan Liu has over five years of work experience. In 2019, they were a Technical Lead at Posh Technologies, where they were responsible for building out features for chatbots supporting financial institutions, mentoring other engineers, and working with product to ensure that the appropriate projects are being prioritized. Ethan also held the roles of Senior Software Engineer and Software Solutions Engineer at Posh Technologies. In 2018, they were a Software Engineer at Pillar Biosciences Incorporated, where they built out a NGS data analysis web application (PiVAT) using React.js and Django, and developed a reduced-feature version of this web application for FDA approval. In 2017, they were an Associate at Galatea Associates, where they upgraded investment banking software to increase efficiency, usability, and maintainability. Ethan developed on both the front-end and back-end using Java, Javascript, Spring, and Ember. In 2016 and 2015, they were a Summer Student at Pfizer, where they created a fully automated pipeline for bioinformatics data used to model experimental results, wrote Perl scripts to parse and transform the data for access by a front-end model, configured a Janus liquid handler and automated lab pipetting procedures, and designed Microsoft Excel modules and macros using Visual Basic to process data and assist with experiment setup.

Ethan Liu attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
