George Stagg

George Stagg is a Senior Software Engineer at Posit PBC since June 2022, previously serving as a Software Engineer. Prior to this role, George held positions as a Teaching and Research Technical Officer and PhD Student at Newcastle University from September 2012 to June 2022, focusing on the research of quantised vortices and superfluid turbulence in liquid helium II and Bose-Einstein condensates, utilizing the Gross-Pitaevskii equation and numerical simulation. George also contributed to undergraduate education through tutorial assistance and assignment marking within the School of Mathematics and Statistics. George earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from Newcastle University in 2016, following a Master of Mathematics degree in Applied Mathematics, completed in 2012.
