Maria Semple

Maria Semple is an experienced software engineering professional currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager and previously as a Software Engineer at Posit PBC since April 2018. Previously, Maria worked at Simba Technologies, a Magnitude Software® Company, from May 2013 to March 2018, advancing from Junior Computer Scientist to Senior Computer Scientist. At Simba Technologies, Maria led the design and development of cross-platform ODBC drivers, focusing on maintainability and reusable components, and contributed to various projects involving authentication methods, Client/Server architecture, HTTP RESTful APIs, and high-performance algorithms. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, completed in 2014.
