Michael Mayer

Michael Mayer is a Solutions Engineer at Posit PBC since October 2021, bringing extensive experience in high-performance computing (HPC) and scientific application infrastructure. Previously, at Novartis, Michael served as Director SMC, focusing on a GxP clinical data management platform and leading cloud-based R Studio initiatives. Earlier roles include Scientific Application/Infrastructure Specialist at Roche, responsible for deploying HPC environments, and Application Architect at Novartis, driving the development of HPC clusters for modeling activities. Additional experience encompasses system architecture at ClusterVision, system analysis at NEC Deutschland, technical support at Red Hat, and postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge, complemented by a PhD in Astronomy from Heidelberg University.
