Thomas Lin Pedersen

Thomas Lin Pedersen is a skilled software engineer currently employed at Posit PBC since October 2018. Previously, Thomas served as a data scientist at SKAT from February 2017 to October 2018 and worked as a bioinformatics researcher at Gubra for a short period in late 2016. Thomas also held the role of consultant at RStudio, Inc. in mid-2016, focusing on improving the ggplot2 codebase. An industrial PhD student at Chr. Hansen A/S from 2011 to 2016, Thomas developed tools for large-scale pangenome analysis and implemented a peptide mapping pipeline. Early career experience includes roles as a ground worker and student worker, as well as board membership in the student council. Thomas earned a PhD in bioinformatics from the Technical University of Denmark and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in food science and technology from the University of Copenhagen.
