Positive Health Project (PHP) was founded in 1993 and is one of the oldest harm reduction agencies in New York City and the nation.  Its mission is to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other infectious diseases by providing health and prevention services to people who use intravenous drugs or engage in other risky behaviors that put them or the community at risk, especially those who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, questioning, non-conforming and men who have sex with men.  PHP has been providing services to both HIV infected and on HIV infected individuals for 16 years and serves as a conduit to other services such as drug treatment, medical care, housing and education.
