Dave Chung

Dave Chung has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dave started their career in 2005 as an Assistant Manager at The Movie Studio and then worked as an IT Proctor at CA School of Business, providing technical support and resolving issues during certification examinations. In 2010, Dave joined Bioware as a QA Tester and gradually advanced to the roles of Senior QA Tester, Quality Analyst, and QA Project Lead, where they managed small-scale demos, ensured quality in the final product, and collaborated with production and developers.

In 2017, Dave moved to Electronic Arts (EA) as a QA Project Lead, responsible for testing strategies and overall quality for Star Wars: Squadrons. Dave later became a QA Project Manager/Development Manager for the same project. In 2019, Dave joined Epic Games as a Senior QA Lead, building and leading a QA team for Fortnite. Dave also held roles as QA Manager on Unreal Editor for Fortnite and QA Manager on Fortnite Battle Royale, where they managed teams and implemented QA processes, standardized test artifacts, and established QA vision and roadmap.

Dave continued their career at Possibility Space in 2022 as a Director of Quality, leading the QA discipline. Dave established a test organization and developed a Job Family Matrix. Dave then moved to Crop Circle Games in 2023, where they continue to serve as the Director of Quality.

Throughout their career, Dave has demonstrated leadership, management, and problem-solving skills in highly dynamic and fast-paced environments. Their experience spans across various aspects of quality assurance and includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, improving processes, and ensuring world-class experiences for gamers.

Dave Chung received their High School Diploma from Old Scona Academic High School in the years 1999 to 2002. Dave then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a focus on Film and Media Studies at the University of Alberta from 2002 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Dave Chung has obtained various certifications, including being a member of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA®) since June 2021, achieving the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in February 2021, and earning the PMI-ACP certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2016.
