Thomas Vargo

Thomas Vargo is a skilled medicinal chemist currently employed at PostEra since May 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas held various positions at AbbVie, including Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist, from January 2013 to April 2022. Thomas also served as a Senior Scientist at Abbott for a brief period in late 2012 and was a Postdoctoral Associate at Harvard University from August 2011 to September 2012. Thomas began academic research as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, obtaining a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from 2006 to 2011, following a BS in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completed in 2006. Earlier research experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Massachusetts and as a Research Assistant at Ariad Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2005.
