Alexander Korotkov

Alexander Korotkov currently serves as the Head of the PostgreSQL group at Supabase since September 2023. As a Major Contributor and Committer for the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since 2011, Alexander has significantly contributed to advancements in index access methods, SQL/JSON implementation, and optimization for multicore systems. Additionally, Alexander founded OrioleDATA, Inc. in July 2020, and previously held the position of Chief of Development at Postgres Professional, where a team was built to develop Postgres Pro Enterprise. An academic background includes serving as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” from April 2009 to July 2016, focusing on data analysis and computational methods. Earlier in the career, Alexander was a team lead at Intaro Soft, successfully completing various projects, including a federal insurance portal and a CRM system for an Apple premium reseller in Russia.
