Joseph Conway

Joseph Conway currently serves as a Senior Software Development Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), leading the PostgreSQL Contributors Team. An influential member of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since 2001, Joseph has made significant contributions to the development of PostgreSQL and its supporting libraries. Joseph's previous roles include Vice President of PostgreSQL Engineering at Crunchy Data Solutions, where contributions led to over 10X company growth, and founding OSS Experts LLC, offering a broad range of open source services. Additional experience includes leadership positions in various engineering departments at Cymer, management roles at Carpenter Technology, and military service as a Nuclear Power Officer in the US Navy. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an equivalent Master's in Nuclear Engineering from Naval Nuclear Power School, and an MBA from San Diego State University.
