Julien Rouhaud

Julien Rouhaud is an experienced engineer and notable contributor within the PostgreSQL community, currently serving as Lead Founding Engineer at Nile since January 2024. With extensive experience as a Major Contributor to the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since February 2012, Julien has been actively involved in code review, bug fixes, and the development of new features. Prior roles include Staff Engineer at VMware, where Julien contributed to PostgreSQL-related projects, and Senior Software Developer at LzLabs GmbH, focusing on PostgreSQL optimization and security. Co-owner of Dalibo from July 2012 to February 2018, Julien specialized in PostgreSQL consulting and has also served as Board Treasurer for PostgreSQLFr, organizing community events. Julien's technical leadership is further evidenced by past positions at M.P.G.R., including roles as Technical Lead and lead developer, managing both PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
