Petr Jelinek

Petr Jelinek is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in database architecture and development, currently serving as VP and Chief Architect at EDB since October 2020, focusing on replication and high availability. As a Major Contributor to the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since July 2005, Petr has implemented significant features such as Logical Replication and Commit Timestamp Tracking, along with maintaining PgBouncer. Prior experience includes leading development at 2ndQuadrant for a PostgreSQL cluster management solution and serving as a Senior Service Engineer at Microsoft's Skype division, specializing in database platform automation and tooling. Additionally, Petr contributed as an External Developer at UPC Česká republika, s.r.o. in the development of a game server hosting portal.
