Joost Vlies, van der is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at PostNL since November 2025. Previously, Joost held the position of Chief Architect at Backbase, where leadership of the Architecture guild focused on developing a new-generation AI-powered Engagement Banking and Integration Platform. Joost’s extensive experience includes roles at Nyenrode Business University as a Lecturer, and as CTO & Head of Architecture at PostNL, overseeing enterprise architecture and IT strategy. Joost's career also features significant positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, including Strategic IT Adviser and Global Account Chief Technologist. Notable earlier roles include Managing Consultant at Capgemini and Consultant at Raet. Joost holds degrees in Business Administration, Social Science Informatics, and Software Engineering from various institutions, including the University of Amsterdam and NHL Hogeschool.
