Lex Overmars, PhD, is an experienced professional in data analytics and bioinformatics, currently serving as Director Consumer at PostNL since July 2018, after holding the position of Manager Data & Analytics. Lex is also the owner of Rijschoolvergelijker V.o.F., the largest driving school comparison website in the Netherlands, operational since June 2007. Prior to these roles, Lex worked as a Senior Data Scientist at VIVAT and completed a post-doctoral research position in Bioinformatics and Data Analytics at the University of Amsterdam. Lex began a career in research at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre as a PhD researcher and had an internship focusing on bioinformatics and machine learning at NIZO. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Sciences (Bioinformatics) from Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Wageningen University & Research, and a Data Expert certificate from the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science.
