William Herlands is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Head of Fondue Product at Postscript, where efforts focus on scaling CashBack (by Fondue) within the leading SMS Marketing Platform for Shopify Brands. William co-founded Fondue in 2021, holding the position of CTO while also being an active member of the PEF Community. Previously, William co-founded and served as CEO of Willow from 2017 to 2019 and worked as an Assistant Researcher at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from 2012 to 2014, specializing in cybersecurity applications of artificial intelligence and robotics. William earned a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Public Policy as well as a Master's in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
