Sr. Field Application Engineer at Power Integrations

Igor Shikh has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Igor started their career as a Design Engineer at Altor Inc, a small start-up specializing in custom power supplies and EMC consulting. Igor then joined Acumentrics Corporation, where they were a team member of the 200kW SOFC Fuel Cells design team and contributed to the development of a novel magnetic design for a 2kW DC/DC bridge converter. After that, Igor worked as a Power System Engineer at SatCon Power Systems, where they designed motor drives, filters, and control algorithms for military applications. Igor then joined Color Kinetics as the Power Group Leader, leading a team of six engineers in power design and control integration for LED-based lighting fixtures. Igor then moved to Philips Lighting Research, where they served as the Principal Hardware Engineer and worked on system level design, hardware architecture, and research of breakthrough technologies in the lighting and energy fields. Currently, they work at Power Integrations as a Senior Field Application Engineer, providing technical support to customers, reviewing designs, troubleshooting problems, and proposing new design solutions.

Igor Shikh attended Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering. Igor then went on to study at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1998 to 2001, focusing on Feedback and Control (C3, C4I) Systems and Operations. Lastly, they attended Harvard Extension School from 2009 to 2011, although specific degree and field of study information is not provided.
