Michael Callies

Michael Callies is the current Regional Lead Senior Consultant at Power System Engineering. Michael has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on distribution systems. Michael began their career as a Design Engineer at Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative in 1994. In 2001, they transitioned to Heartland Engineering Services, where they served as Distribution Engineer for over 20 years. In this role, they were responsible for distribution system design and planning, operations support, load management, field services, budgeting, on-call line crew supervisor, and project management. In 2015, they returned to Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative as System Operations Supervisor, a position they held until 2021. Michael has a wealth of experience in the engineering field and is an expert in distribution systems.
