Steve Jones

Steve Jones has over 19 years of experience in cybersecurity and information technology. Beginning as a Network and Security Analyst at Oxygen Business Solutions, Steve held various positions including Branch Manager/Consultant at Expert Solution Providers and Team Lead Security Operations at Vodafone New Zealand. In a managerial role at Vodafone from March 2015 to July 2020, Steve was responsible for overseeing security operations and achieved significant OPEX cost reductions while building a high-performing team post-resignation of the Cyber Defense Team. Steve served as a Security Systems Engineer at TelstraClear and currently works as a Cyber Security Engineer at Thinking, providing business advisory and consultancy services. Recently, Steve was appointed Head of Information Security at Powerco. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Computing Systems from Unitec New Zealand and various certifications in IT management and cybersecurity.
