Afonso Ramos

Afonso Ramos is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator with extensive experience in product development, advisory roles, and academic instruction. As Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Powerdot since January 2019, Afonso has led various product initiatives. In December 2020, Afonso became an advisor to the management team at Batch, focusing on Product and Technology. Afonso also served as a guest lecturer at NOVA IMS Information Management School from May 2017 to August 2022, teaching e-commerce and web analytics, and at Nova School of Business and Economics, delivering courses on e-business. Prior experience includes co-founding Betapp, a social network for betting, and partnering at Outdare until its acquisition by Zomato after over eight years. Afonso holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Economics from Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, and has completed an exchange program at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
