Loïc VALLANCE

Data Scientist at PowerFlex

Loïc Vallance has a strong background in data science and research. Loïc started their career as an intern at City University London in 2014. In 2015, they took on a research internship at EDF R&D, where they gained valuable experience in the field. Later that year, Loïc began their Ph.D. studies at PSL Research University, focusing on the synergy of ground pyranometric measurements and hemispherical images with meteorological satellite images for photovoltaic forecasting. Their research included proposing innovative metrics, fusing information to exploit synergies, and developing a voxel carving method for cloud shadow prediction on solar panels. Loïc's work resulted in positive results on real data. In 2018, Loïc joined EDF as a Data Scientist R&D, where they continued their research until 2023. Currently, Loïc works at PowerFlex as a Data Scientist.

Loïc Vallance pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting with their engineering degree in Electronics and signal processing from ENSEEIHT, which they completed between 2012 and 2015. Following this, they attended Chalmers University of Technology in 2014 and 2015, although there is no information provided regarding the degree or field of study during this period. Subsequently, Loïc Vallance joined PSL Research University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Energy and processes between 2015 and 2018. It is important to note that there is no information available regarding any additional certifications attained by Loïc Vallance.
