Mark DesMeules has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mark started their career as a Summer Associate at Carmen Group in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Government Department of Connecticut College. From 2012 to 2016, they served as a Policy Associate at American Continental Group (ACG) and later became a Research Analyst at ACG Analytics for a few months. In 2017, they joined AVANGRID, Inc. as a Consultant, where they gained experience in the energy and utility sector. Mark also worked as an MBA Intern at LevelTen Energy in 2017. Starting in 2016, they were involved in Big Red Tech Strategy while pursuing their MBA at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where they served as Co President and Energy Storage Commercialization Consultant. Currently, they are at PowerFlex, where they have held roles as a Business Development Associate, Senior Project Developer, Senior Manager, and most recently, Associate Director and Director of Market Strategy & Analysis.
Mark DesMeules has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Clean Tech and Finance from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Connecticut College from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and International Relations. During this time, they also attended Georgetown University in 2009, where they pursued studies in International Affairs. Additionally, in the same year, they studied at the IES Paris School of Business and International Affairs, specializing in International Affairs and Economics. Mark DesMeules also holds certifications in NAUI Open Water Scuba Diving from Connecticut College and PV Associate from NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners).
