Sam Player

Sam Player has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Currently, Sam works at PowerFlex as the Director of Product Management, a position held since March 2022. Prior to that, Sam was a Senior Product Owner at PowerFlex from March 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining PowerFlex, Sam served as an Advisor/Product Marketing Consultant at Swiftmile, Inc from November 2019 to February 2020. In this role, Sam assisted in the development of corporate marketing messaging and positioning for a pre-Series A green transportation startup.

From May 2018 to October 2019, Sam worked as the VP of Product at ReadyUp, a privately-owned startup. Their responsibilities included directing the development of the company's first product release and leading a development team based in Bucharest, Romania.

Sam's work history also includes serving as the Head of Product Management at Sports Illustrated Play from September 2015 to January 2018. During this time, they played a key role in creating and developing the SI Play mobile app and overseeing its day-to-day operations.

Prior to that, Sam worked as a Strategic Product Manager at TeamSnap, a SaaS startup, from February 2014 to September 2015. Their responsibilities included defining product roadmaps and leading development teams.

Sam's earlier experiences include positions at Electronic Arts, Crystal Dynamics, Various Bay Area Sports Teams, Accolade Inc., and Cavalli & Cribbs, Inc. At Electronic Arts, Sam held roles such as Senior Director of Developer Relations and Executive Producer/Senior Producer. At Crystal Dynamics, Sam served as the Vice President of Product Development/Executive Producer and also worked as a Producer/Lead Designer.

Additionally, Sam has experience as a Public Address Announcer for various Bay Area sports teams and worked as a Product Marketing Manager at Accolade Inc. Sam's career began at Cavalli & Cribbs, Inc. as an Account Manager, where they were involved in public relations and advertising for various clients.

Sam Player has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University.
