At PowerOptimal, we’re building the future of energy—one innovation at a time. Founded in 2014, we specialise in smart, sustainable solutions built on South African engineering and IP, with local manufacturing at our core.

Our flagship product, Elon® Smart, is the world’s first smart thermostat with plug-and-play solar PV capability. It seamlessly replaces a standard thermostat, transforming ordinary electric geysers into connected, solar-ready appliances—controlled via a simple mobile app. With real-time monitoring, fault alerts, and intelligent energy management, Elon Smart makes solar PV water heating more accessible, efficient, and affordable than ever.

As a technology development company, we focus on creating solutions that are not only smart and reliable, but also easy to integrate into existing systems. While we work closely with partners like Kwikot to support broader adoption, our core strength lies in developing and delivering the technology that makes it all possible.

Whether you’re a homeowner, installer, or industry partner, PowerOptimal helps you unlock better ways to use energy—with less complexity, lower cost, and greater control.
