Shane Alexander is an experienced mechanical engineering professional with a strong background in designing and managing engineering projects. As the Microgrid Mechanical Engineering Manager at PowerSecure, Inc. since August 2016, Shane leads a team focused on mechanical designs for switchboards and generators compliant with UL standards. Prior to this role, Shane served as Lead Mechanical Engineer, developing modular gensets for peak shaving and standby power. Shane's career also includes experience as a Design/Project Engineer at Chicago Tube & Iron, handling large capital projects for the power boiler and paper industry, as well as positions at United Protective Technologies as a Wear Coatings Engineer and at Superior Steel Components, Inc. as a Truss Designer/Industrial Estimator. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
