Byron Thomas

Byron Thomas is a seasoned professional in the electrical engineering field with extensive experience in project management and commissioning. Currently serving as General Manager (Services) at Present Group since May 2012, Byron oversees the initiation, planning, implementation, and closure of commissioning start-up projects within the Powertech Services value stream, along with the execution of major long-term service agreements in the Operations & Maintenance sector. Previous roles include General Manager, HV Commissioning Engineer, and Electrical Commissioning Senior, showcasing a strong focus on achieving performance objectives and supporting corporate goals through effective leadership and customer service. Prior experience at Sasol Synthetic Fuels as Principal Technologist involved overseeing electrical commissioning for various projects. Byron holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies and is a member of The Institution of Engineers Australia.
