Alex Wright is an experienced founder, MD, sales leader and chief commercial officer with a track record of launching, scaling, and exiting ventures across East and West Africa. They founded Forward FX Ltd and Mbele FX Ltd, both of which are now part of GTXN, and held leadership roles including Chief Commercial Officer (handover) at GTXN and Head of Desk for the insurance sector at Corpay. They currently serve as a Commercial Consultant at Purple Elephant Ventures and as Interim Chief Executive Officer at PowerTrip, a venture focused on Energy-as-a-Service for the East African hotel industry. They studied politics at the University of Leeds and attended Hampton School and Esher Sixth Form College.
