Alcibiade Athanasiou

Alcibiade Athanasiou is a professional with extensive experience in clinical research and laboratory management. Currently serving as an Assistant Clinical Research Associate at PPD since August 2025, Alcibiade previously held multiple roles at Proteomedix AG from March 2012 to July 2025, including Laboratory Manager, Senior Research Associate, and Research Associate. Prior to that, Alcibiade worked at Actelion from 2007 to March 2012, progressing from Laboratory Technician to Senior Laboratory Technician and Research Associate. An internship at ETH Zurich also contributed to Alcibiade's foundational experience in the field. Alcibiade holds an Engineer's degree in Biochemistry from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, obtained between 2001 and 2005.
