Alison Whitehead is an experienced professional in clinical management and operational delivery, currently serving as the Executive Director of Regional Operational Delivery at PPD since November 2005. Alison has held various leadership roles, such as Sr. Director of Clinical Team Management, overseeing Clinical Team Managers, Project Leads, and Line Managers in the General Medicine therapeutic area, while also driving compliance with quality metrics as a Quality Lead. Prior to PPD, Alison worked at AstraZeneca, where roles included Study Leader and Clinical Research Associate, and held positions at Cognitive Drug Research and ClinTrials. Alison holds a BSc Hons in Biochemistry & Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Economics and International Development from The Open University.
