Crystal Chen

Crystal Chen is a biostatistician at PPD, where they contribute to the development of protocol and statistical analysis plans for vaccine and drug studies. Crystal’s academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Purdue University. Prior to their current role, Crystal gained experience as a biostatistician at The Emmes Corporation and worked as a contracting lab statistician at Roche Diabetes Care. Their early research experience includes analyzing medical simulation data at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and participating in a fellowship program at the FDA, focusing on statistical challenges in drug evaluation. Crystal is passionate about applying statistical knowledge to support public health initiatives and is dedicated to teamwork and continuous improvement in their field.
