Els van Westen

Els van Westen is currently the Regulatory Affairs Lead at PPD, a role they began in 2023. Previously, they served as a Country Approval Specialist at PPD from 2017 to 2022 and worked as a Junior Project Manager at UMC Utrecht from 2016 to 2017. Els completed their PhD at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, where their research focused on immune responses to pneumococcal vaccinations from 2011 to 2015. They also hold a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen, earned in 2008.
